Geographical location
The town of Resita is the capital of Caras Severin county, located in South - West of Romania, bordering Serbia. Resita's history is the same as the history of local industry which lead to the development of the town and surroundings. Resita is crossed by the river Barzava, on whose hilly banks being town's oldest buildings, as there are the old industrial facilities, UCMR premises included.
Travel here is possible by car or by train. Timisoara, the nearest airport is about 100 km away. Bucuresti, Romanian capital is about 500 km away and Belgrade, Serbia's Capital is closer than 200 km.
